This page describes the Hobbs Electric LLC SMS messaging program, how crew members provide consent to receive text messages, and how to stop receiving messages at any time. Messages are sent by Hobbs Electric to enrolled crew members. This page is referenced in our A2P 10DLC campaign registration and is provided publicly so that anyone — including carriers, regulators, and end users — can review our messaging practices.
1.Program Overview
Program Name: Hobbs Electric Crew Dispatch
Operator: Hobbs Electric LLC
Purpose: To send job opportunity notifications, job assignment details, and related dispatch communications to line-crew members who have been enrolled by Hobbs Electric.
Message Type: Transactional / operational. This is not a marketing program. Messages relate exclusively to work opportunities and the operational logistics of the recipient's trade.
2.How Crew Members Opt In
Consent is collected by Hobbs Electric LLC on this website. The crew application form at hobbselectricllc.com/crew-onboarding.html is the source of opt-in for this program: a crew member gives express written consent by checking a separate, unchecked SMS consent box on the web form. Numbers are never purchased, rented, or imported from any other list or website.
The process, step by step:
- Step one — web form consent. A crew member completes the crew application on hobbselectricllc.com and checks a separate, unchecked SMS consent box that names Hobbs Electric LLC, states the message types and frequency, notes that message and data rates may apply, gives the STOP and HELP keywords, states that consent is not a condition of employment, and links to these SMS Terms and the Privacy Policy. The box is optional and is never pre-checked; the application can be submitted without it.
- Step two — welcome message. After dispatch reviews the application, the crew member receives a single welcome text identifying Hobbs Electric, restating the frequency and rate disclosures and the STOP and HELP keywords, and containing their onboarding link. No dispatch texts are sent before that welcome message.
- Affirmative consent, on the record. Consent is never bundled into unrelated agreements and is never a condition of employment. Hobbs Electric retains a timestamped record of each opt-in and the exact consent language displayed on the form.
If a crew member asks in person or by phone
Hobbs Electric does not add anyone to the dispatch list on their behalf. Every enrolled number comes from the web form on this domain.
Live Opt-In Form: The publicly accessible opt-in form is at hobbselectricllc.com/crew-onboarding.html. The SMS consent box is separate from the application itself, is never pre-checked, and is optional — an applicant who leaves it unchecked is contacted by phone or email instead and is not texted. Records of each opt-in, including the timestamp and the exact consent language displayed, are retained by Hobbs Electric LLC and are available to carriers and regulators on request.
3.First Message (Welcome)
The first message confirms the enrollment made on the web form, restates the program disclosures, and delivers the crew member's onboarding link:
The onboarding link points to lineoperations.com, the dispatch platform owned and operated by Hobbs Electric LLC and used as our internal onboarding and dispatch tool. It is not a third-party service and no consent is collected there — consent is obtained by Hobbs Electric LLC before the message is ever sent.
4.Sample Messages You May Receive
Replying YES to a job dispatch accepts that job. It has no effect on consent, which is already on file — only STOP changes that.
5.Message Frequency
You will typically receive 1 to 20 messages per week. Frequency can be higher during active storm-restoration and dispatch events, and lower between events. We do not send messages outside of this operational context.
6.Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Hobbs Electric does not charge for messages sent through this program, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving SMS messages depending on your plan. Please consult your carrier for details.
7.How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving messages at any time. Simply reply with any of the following keywords to any message you receive:
Capitalization, punctuation, and surrounding text do not affect your opt-out. After we receive your request, you will receive a single confirmation and no further SMS messages unless you re-enroll:
If you are unable to reply via text, you may also opt out by emailing [email protected] with your mobile number, or by contacting Hobbs Electric and asking to be removed from the dispatch list.
8.How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any message and you will receive a response with contact information. You may also contact us directly at [email protected].
9.Re-Enrollment After Opt-Out
If you have opted out and wish to start receiving messages again, you may reply START or UNSTOP from the mobile number you previously received messages on, or re-submit the crew application at hobbselectricllc.com/crew-onboarding.html with the SMS consent box checked. Hobbs Electric will not re-add a number on request from anyone else.
10.Supported Carriers
Our SMS service is supported on all major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, UScellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability depends on your carrier.
11.No Sharing of Opt-In or Phone Number Data
Your number is only used for dispatch purposes and is never sold or shared with any third party. Hobbs Electric does not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in/consent data with anyone, other than the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you have consented to receive (for example, our SMS gateway provider). For full details on how personal information is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
12.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to receive SMS messages from this program. The program is intended for working line-crew members and is not directed to minors.
13.Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via SMS to enrolled recipients or, where appropriate, through our website.
